HB 290 went before the House Transportation Committee Thursday morning and received a DUE PASS - unanimously! Thanks to Dave Covert of the NM Motorcyclists who testified in favor of the bill, and Rep. Rick Meira who sponsored the bill. I also rode the train with my bike down to testify.

Several legislators noted that they had received a lot of e-mails in favor of the bill. PLEASE CONTINUE TO E-MAIL THESE FOLKS - IT WORKS!

Next step: House Judiciary Committee. Please contact the legislators on the Judiciary (see http://www.nmlegis.gov/lcs/committeedisplay.aspx?CommitteeCode=HJC) and urge them to vote yes on HB 290!
